Adrienne Aaron

I’m Adrienne, a licensed clinical therapist who for the past 21 years has been specializing in working with clients deal with depression, anxiety, and trauma and stress management. My years in the field have taught me that my relationship with my clients is best when there’s a mutually agreed upon set of goals to form a connection. I work closely with each client to help them to find value and purpose in their lives.

For the past 21 years, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals during difficult and challenging times. As a therapist I use a narrative approach and problem-solving model to help clients to achieve their goals in life. I work closely with each client to help them to find value and purpose in their lives. I view each client’s story as a beautiful map. Each client’s map is filled with relationships, experiences, heartache, loss, joys, successes and sometimes failures. I work closely to help them to understand their challenges, obstacles and patterns. I am able to help clients to develop skills and adjust to barriers that prevent them from living their best life.

My journey as a therapist has allowed me to work with school aged children deal with mental health issues and difficulties. I have worked with young adults during times of transition and change. I have worked with adults, seniors, couples and families experiencing trauma and chaos. I explore developmental patterns and life stages. I am fortunate to have worked closely with LGBTQ clients. I have always believed that every client should be affirmed and accepted. I am proud and honored to be able to work with a diverse population over the last 21 years. My areas of focus are grief/bereavement, work life balance, stress management and cultural sensitivity.

I am the Founder and CEO of Aaron Counseling and Consulting PLLC, On Site Counselor of Mecklenburg County DSS/YFS, Co-Founder of the Empathy Project.
